About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trade Assistant/Analyst to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key point of contact for front office traders, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate P&L reporting and resolving any queries that arise.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily liaison with front office traders to understand risks and ensure accurate P&L reporting
- Maintaining daily pricing schedules as well as positions
- Month end P&L reporting including commentaries
- Monthly reporting between commercial and finance
- Liaising with middle office and risk on monthly P&L
- Continuous improvements around existing process
- Analysing daily reports on inventory valuations, creditors, and accruals
- Liaising with internal finance and traffic departments
Requirements
- 2-3 years of work experience in a similar role or field
- Knowledge/understanding of Commodity Trading advantageous
- Personal & Professional Competencies: Critical thinking skills with precision and attention to detail in all aspects of written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
