Job Description
Fast growing medium sized accounting and tax firm in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking to employ an Accountant.
The firm is looking for a candidate with experience in a firm environment that is comfortable managing a portfolio of clients, looking after their bookkeeping, accounting, and statutory needs. An accounting qualification would be beneficial, however not a requirement as the client values experience in a similar role highly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data capturing on Pastel/Accfin (secretarial program).
- Preparation of financial statements on Draftworx.
- Submission of tax returns for individuals/trusts and companies.
- Calculation of VAT/PAYE/IRP5 reconciliations/Compensation Commissioner and submission of returns.
- Ad hoc accounting and tax work
- Client interaction and relations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified by Experience, Matric.
- Degree, Certificate, Diploma in Accounting would be an added benefit.
- Bookkeeping or Accounting experience within a firm environment.
- Experience with Draftworx, Caseware would be advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
Remuneration:
- R200,000 to R300,000 pa ctc, negotiable on experience.
