South Africa: Guide Instructor

As a Guide Instructor, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of nature guides through immersive, field-based training. Working for a leading wilderness education provider in Southern Africa, youll deliver hands-on instruction in ecology, wildlife tracking, and guiding skills, while mentoring students to develop the knowledge, confidence, and ethics needed for a career in conservation and ecotourism. Core Criteria: FGASA NQF4 guides FGASA Trails Guide and Current Advanced Rifle Handling Guiding and other related industry experience Current NDT Registration Current PDP (desirable) Current FGASA Membership Maintenance experience is a plus Excellent administration skills Must be a natural leader who commands respect Mature and responsible Well spoken, well-groomed and presentable Positive attitude and approach toward teamwork Ability to take initiative and problem solve Passionate and pro-active towards personal growth and training Must have excellent references This is a live-in position.
