About the Role
Join our team at Toys R Us & Babies R Us South Africa as a Shop Assistant! We’re looking for a dynamic and passionate individual to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and excellent store performance. As a key member of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in maximizing sales by delivering AWESOME customer service and providing customers with a WOW experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing AWESOME customer service to give customers a WOW experience
- Attending to unique and individual shopping needs of each customer and always putting the Customer first
- Ensuring that customers receive prompt and relevant service on the sales floor and by telephone
- Adhering to all basic customer service standards
- Determining customers’ requirements and advising on product range, price, and warranties
- Demonstrating, explaining, and advising on products to customers
- Selling goods and adding on sales and services
- Ensuring that goods are correctly priced and displayed
- Executing promotions timeously and planning their execution in advance
- Maintaining merchandising/layouts and housekeeping standards and schedules
- Preparing, implementing, and maintaining advertised sales promotions
- Reporting on fast and slow sellers to the Store Manager
- Participating in stock takes and stock counts
- Minimizing stock loss
- Minimizing expenses in area of responsibility
- Maximizing sales in all areas
- Protecting Company’s assets in area of responsibility
Requirements
- Matric Certificate
- 6 (six) months retail experience
- Own or reliable transport to be able to work shifts
