About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent to join our dynamic team in Western Cape, South Africa. As a key member of our construction firm, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary commercial construction projects, leading site teams, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and bylaws.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme management
- Draft project programme
- Issue micro programme fortnightly
- Manage the full site team
- Sub-contractor management
- Attend and present at site meetings
- Client and professional team management
- End-to-end project management
- Approve site orders
- Ensure waste plan is implemented
- Ensure site is always presentable
- Monitor and direct progress on a construction site
- Manage the administration role of a site-based project office
- Compile and issue meeting minutes for all sub-contractors meetings
- Compile and issue bi-weekly project progress reports
- Be responsible for collation of handover documentation file for operator / client
- Record site instructions
- Issue drawings to sub-contractors
- Compiling and managing a photo library for the project duration
- Report on drawing issues and discrepancies
- Report on daily quality of work executed on site
- Report on progress (Read and interpret a Gantt chart)
Requirements
- B-Tech | BSc in Construction Management and / or National Diploma in Building or related
- 8-10 years proven site agent commercial construction experience gained in managing multi-disciplinary projects
- 5 Years people management experience gained i.e. of construction team and sub-contractors
- Experience gained in working ideally on commercial or industrial and / or high-end residential valued between R40 Million R200 Million
- Valid Drivers licence and own reliable transport
- Computer literacy: Proven skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) with experience gained in MS Projects / CCS and buildsmart
Salary & Benefits
R60 000 – R80 000 per month, negotiable based on qualification and years of relevant experience
