About the Role
We are seeking a customer service professional to implement our customer service policy and ensure efficient handling of customer inquiries and complaints. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a positive and supportive environment for both internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement a customer service policy for the organization
- Ensure efficient and prompt handling of all customers’ inquiries/complaints (phone, letter, email, in person)
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve problems/complaints
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions and transactions
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports as appropriate
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive, customer-oriented environment for all clients
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance
- Liaise with relevant departments (transport, warehouse, accounts, external sales representatives)
- Follow up on orders regarding loading and possible delays
- Process sales orders in the system SAP and invoices accurately
- Ensure accuracy in details and follow-up on credit notes with accounts departments
- Call customers when necessary regarding upcoming sales or orders
Requirements
- Relevant customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills (SAP system)
Qualifications
- Matric certificate (Grade 11) required
