About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Digital International E-Commerce B2B Marketplace Specialist to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving international online sales through leading global e-commerce and B2B platforms. You will work closely with our marketing team to run promotional campaigns, paid ads, and SEO optimisation for marketplace success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage international buyer relationships (USA, EU, UK, Africa, Asia)
- Achieve monthly online sales targets via online/e-commerce channels
- Lead conversion rate per platform
- Respond to RFQs / enquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain customer satisfaction and repeat sales
- Ensure catalogue accuracy and platform compliance
- Reduce cart-abandonment / enquiry-drop rates
- Grow international customer database
- List and optimize catalogue-based industrial/engineering products on various marketplace portals
- Monitor competitor pricing and adjust strategies to maximise conversions
- Oversee order fulfilment coordination with warehouse/logistics teams
- Respond to platform enquiries, RFQs, messages, and customer questions in a timely manner
- Generate and qualify leads generated through platforms such as Alibaba RFQs, ThomasNet inquiries
- Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs
- Prepare quotations, pro-forma invoices, and commercial documentation
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines within approved guidelines
- Follow up on potential buyers, abandoned carts, RFQs, or partially completed orders
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
- Diploma/Degree in sales, marketing, business, e-commerce, engineering, or similar (advantageous)
- Additional e-commerce certifications (Amazon, Alibaba, Google Digital Skills) are beneficial
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience selling products via global online marketplaces (eBay, Amazon Seller, Alibaba, Global Sources, ThomasNet)

- Monthly salary: R 30 000 Gross
- Commission on top (salary package is dependent on skills, qualifications and years of relevant experience only)
