About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draughtsman / CAD Designer to support detailed design and technical drawing deliverables for armored vehicles in Pretoria.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce technical design drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
- Develop detail layout and manufacturing drawings for parts and assemblies.
- Support design modelling and animations (assemblies, sheet metal, machined parts, weldments).
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure technical information flows during prototyping and production.
- Assist the design team specifically in the military vehicle / armored vehicle field.
Requirements
- Professional drafting credential or Mechanical Engineering Diploma/drawings qualification preferred.
- Experience in detailed mechanical design/draughting.
- Solid experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
- Experience drafting mechanical parts, assemblies, sheet metal, and manufacturing drawings.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and engineering standards.
