About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Financial Manager to join our client’s team in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting, while ensuring statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial plans and forecasts
- Oversee budget management and financial planning
- Lead and develop finance teams
- Manage external financial relationships
- Implement accounting software and optimize financial systems
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Manage financial risk and audit protocols
- Work independently while managing multiple priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (BCom Accounting or AGA preferred)
- 5 years of experience in a financial management position, preferably in an NPO/NPC environment
- Registered membership with SAICA, CIMA, or SAIPA
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, Email, and Internet
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Proven track record of working independently while managing multiple priorities
