About the Role

The Human Resources and Employee Experience Advisor role is a critical component of our organisation’s success, focusing on delivering exceptional employee experiences and driving business growth through strategic HR initiatives. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team, providing expert guidance and support to management teams, employees, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of Employee Experience services across the business.
  • Work with EDI and Wellbeing teams to develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Support management teams in driving improvements through monthly and annual engagement surveys.
  • Provide HR guidance to employees and managers on policies, procedures, and best practices (primarily SA legislation).
  • Support managers with employee relations matters, including disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Support TUPE processes and integrate new businesses into the group.
  • Provide ongoing integration and harmonization support.
  • Support the SA payroll process by providing monthly updates to the payroll team.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends.
  • Administer and manage the ATS system.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding.
  • Provide managers with recruitment toolkits.
  • Work with Marketing to strengthen employer branding and talent pipelines.
  • Ensure legislative and best-practice pre-employment checks are completed.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives.
  • Facilitate and deliver manager workshops and HR induction sessions.
  • Support management and leadership development programs.
  • Assist with mentoring and coaching initiatives.
  • Support annual salary and bonus review processes.
  • Review policies and procedures in line with UK and SA legislation and best practice.
  • Mediate workplace conflicts and address employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and support wellbeing and EDI initiatives.
  • Support charity partnerships and related initiatives.
  • Prepare reports on employee engagement and key HR metrics.
  • Support Board-level reporting where required.
  • Ensure HR systems deliver value, accuracy, and process improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all employee lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee data.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines.
  • Act in accordance with the business values and competency framework.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or close to completing qualification.
  • Proven experience in a similar HR, Employee Experience or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation.
  • Proven experience in employee engagement initiatives and programme implementation.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proven experience handling employee relations matters, including disciplinaries and grievances.
  • Empathetic and approachable with a strong understanding of employee needs.
  • Flexible and able to manage changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Formal education/certifications (Bachelor’s, LLB, Matric, etc.).
