About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg, working in the Renewable Energy Solar PV Industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles and experience in designing structural systems for solar PV projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop structural plans for solar PV projects using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Prokon
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel, and aluminium structural design principles
- Maintain accurate records and reports of project progress and outcomes
Requirements
- Minimum 0-3 years experience as a Junior Civil / Structural Engineer in the Renewable Energy Solar PV Industry
- BEng / BSc Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Relevant tertiary education required
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Prokon
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel, and aluminium structural design beneficial
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License and own Transport (required)
