About the Role

A well-established company within the mining industry is seeking experienced Quarry Managers for operations based in KZN, Nelspruit, and the Western Cape. We are looking for a skilled professional to lead our daily quarry operations and drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fulfil the 3.1(a) Legal Appointment under the MHSA
  • Oversee daily quarry operations including drilling, blasting, crushing, and haulage
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Develop and implement mine plans and production schedules
  • Manage budgets, assets, and resource allocation
  • Lead and develop site teams while driving a strong safety culture
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in inspections and audits
  • Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Monitor production metrics and overall site performance
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies

Requirements

  • Relevant Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Trade Test (Red Seal)
  • Minimum 10 years operational mining/quarrying experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a management role
  • Proven track record as a 3.1(a) legal appointee
  • Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act

Qualifications

  • Valid Drivers Licence (Code B)
