About the Role
A well-established company within the mining industry is seeking experienced Quarry Managers for operations based in KZN, Nelspruit, and the Western Cape. We are looking for a skilled professional to lead our daily quarry operations and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfil the 3.1(a) Legal Appointment under the MHSA
- Oversee daily quarry operations including drilling, blasting, crushing, and haulage
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Develop and implement mine plans and production schedules
- Manage budgets, assets, and resource allocation
- Lead and develop site teams while driving a strong safety culture
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and participate in inspections and audits
- Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations
- Monitor production metrics and overall site performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
Requirements
- Relevant Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant Trade Test (Red Seal)
- Minimum 10 years operational mining/quarrying experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in a management role
- Proven track record as a 3.1(a) legal appointee
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act
Qualifications
- Valid Drivers Licence (Code B)
