About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Assembly Foreman to join our team in George, responsible for overseeing mechanical assembly operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate mechanical assembly teams to ensure efficient production
- Supervise and train junior staff members on assembly procedures and quality control
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality or safety issues
- Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory, and maintenance schedules using Digital Checklists/ERP systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in Mechanical Assembly in a Manufacturing Environment (mobile equipment/industrial machinery preferred)
- NQF Level 45 trade-related qualification and/or recognised Trade Test (preferred)
- Mechanical Fitter trade background, or demonstrably equivalent experience in mechanical assembly leadership
- Proficient in basic Excel
- Comfortable using Digital Checklists/ERP/Job Cards
