East London: IT TECHNICIAN

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team at our Head Office in East London, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our Systems Administrator in driving business growth through effective IT management and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Remote and on-site support for employees and systems
• Installation of Point of Sale (POS) systems and other hardware
• Maintenance and management of IT systems, including telephones, internet, digital media, and software
• Management of 3rd party support calls with service providers
• Configuration and maintenance of hardware, such as desktops, laptops, printers, and biometric time and attendance readers
• Provision of solutions that benefit JUMBO
• Design and implementation of internal network infrastructure (LAN)
• Regular store visits to carry out maintenance and audits
• Cable management
• On-site support for employees and systems
• Training on IT systems and production of training material

Requirements

• Matric Certificate
• Minimum 2 years’ IT experience
• A and N certification
• Valid Driver’s License – Code 8 unendorsed (Essential)
• Willingness to travel extensively
