Job Description

Title: Instrumentation Technician Location: Angola Requirements: Minimum: N2 plus Trade Certificate through a recognised Institution plus Code 8 Desired: T3/S4 or N6 plus Trade Certificate plus Code 10 Knowledge of diamond plants and DMS and Recovery circuits Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the mining and processing sector Minimum: 5 years of plant maintenance experience Desired: 8 years of plant maintenance experience Responsibilities: Conduct routine inspections and fault-finding on components in plant Install control systems, instruments, control valves and all other instruments Conduct planned maintenance and repairs Repair/overhaul components Maintain a clean workplace/good housekeeping Complete daily registers and job cards Conduct applicable spares inventory weekly and report Report safety incidents/accidents Comply with safety, health, security and environmental standards Do pre- and post-assessments of equipment sent for repairs Provide technical assistance and direction to other functional groups to drive quality improvements and enhance the maintenance function Liaise with planned maintenance officers to ensure inspection and audit findings are scheduled for remediation Develop the critical spares and sub-assembly register for all equipment on the operations Analysing the blueprints for instrumentation systems to determine the specifications of the components to be maintained/replaced Develop the critical spares and sub-assembly register for all equipment in the operations Fault find PLC-based control system using circuit diagrams and software; Work with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) software, hardware wiring, drives (Siem measuring instruments (scales, weighbridges, level detectors, temperature controllers (Digital and analogue) Programme and faultfind on the VSD drives Please apply via our website:
