Job Description

Minimum Requirements & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Minimum 5 years hands-on experience administering the Dynatrace monitoring platform Proven experience with Dynatrace upgrades (in-place and out-of-place) Strong expertise in: Application Performance Monitoring (APM) Dashboards and reporting Synthetic and API monitoring Log analytics Experience working in a production support environment Solid understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Knowledge of Java applications and application server management Experience with SQL and database monitoring Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration monitoring Exposure to log monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, ELK Stack, Splunk, or Graylog Basic AIX / Linux system administration and server resource monitoring Experience managing Dynatrace licensing and compliance Experience with automation scripting for monitoring and maintenance (advantageous) Key Responsibilities The Dynatrace System Administrator Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Manage, support, and optimise the Dynatrace monitoring platform for internal and external applications Administer Dynatrace SaaS environments, including installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance Deploy, configure, and manage Dynatrace agents across application and infrastructure environments Configure alerts, thresholds, and monitors for application, OS, and infrastructure parameters Build, customise, and maintain dashboards and performance reports Migrate synthetic monitors from legacy monitoring tools to Dynatrace Perform application performance analysis, tuning, and root cause troubleshooting Monitor server resources (CPU, memory, disk) and proactively address performance bottlenecks Monitor and support ETL processes, identifying and resolving failures or data inconsistencies Perform routine server maintenance and ensure systems are patched and secure Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve monitoring efficiency Produce and maintain operational documentation, best practices, and procedures Provide training and structured knowledge transfer to client teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application, and data engineering teams Key Deliverables Stable, optimised, and fully supported Dynatrace monitoring environment Accurate dashboards, alerts, and performance reports Proactive identification and resolution of performance issues Documented procedures, best practices, and operational guides Structured training and knowledge transfer to internal client teams
