About the Role
The Site Construction Supervisor will assist the Project Manager in delivering projects by supervising and coordinating onsite activities, providing full-time On-site Electrical & Instrumentation EPCM project services to clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Full-time On-site Electrical & Instrumentation EPCM project services to the client Projects
• Office in capacity of an E&I Construction Supervisor
• E&I Construction Supervisor supervises all Electrical & Instrumentation construction activities of projects executed by the Projects Department:
• Verifies that the E&I construction/installations are done in accordance with the E&I design, standards and specifications.
• Facilitates quality control and quality assurance through the complete project life cycle (manufacturing, construction/installation, testing and commissioning).
• Punches all E&I installations.
• Ensures that IFC drawings are red lined.
• Manages access to follow trades (E&I) in accordance with project schedule.
• Has a good command of client standards and installation specifications.
• Has a good command of the client’s Testing and Commissioning procedure and ensures its application to every project.
Requirements
• National Diploma or Equivalent (Electrical/Electronic Engineering)
• Minimum of 6 years of industrial (operational) experience in a Mining or Plant environment, of which 3 years in an E&I Construction Supervisor capacity.
• Construction management experience.
• Managed projects above R5 million.
• Training and Exposure to conduct Risk Assessments & CTAs Reviews.
• ECSA registration as a candidate.
• Construction Management certification
