About the Role
The Investment Analyst (Asset Management) role at our organisation involves conducting in-depth research on global financial markets, asset classes, and economic indicators to support portfolio construction and investment strategy. The successful candidate will prepare detailed research reports, contribute to the Investment Committee, and collaborate with global colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and analytical individual to join our team and drive investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on global financial markets, asset classes, and economic indicators.
- Analyse trends, risks, and opportunities to inform investment decision-making.
- Prepare research reports and presentations for discussion at the Investment Committee.
- Screen potential investment opportunities using quantitative and qualitative tools.
- Develop insights into fund managers’ performance, investment process, team stability, and cost efficiency.
- Conduct qualitative due diligence on managers (e.g., meetings, peer comparisons).
- Maintain structured monitoring of selected funds, including performance reviews and attribution analysis.
Requirements
- Completed BCom Honours degree
- Completed CFA Level 3
- Minimum 3 years relevant Investment Analyst working experience from within an investment management/wealth management environment
Qualifications
- Formal education/certifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification
