VACANCY: WELDING OPERATOR
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Welding Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating welding machinery to meet production targets, maintain quality standards, and ensure a safe working environment.

Ensure all safety standards and procedures are followed
Main Duties
Achievement of Production Requirements
-
Operate gas welding machines, including MIG, TIG, and Laser welders
-
Set up machines with correct gas, wire, and parameters according to Work Instructions
-
Inspect machines before production; report any defects to the Team Leader
-
Meet hourly production targets and report any issues affecting output
-
Monitor machine performance continuously
-
Maintain Route Cards with outputs and rejects
-
Clock on/off for jobs and report any machine problems promptly
Quality of Work
-
Perform visual checks on all completed assemblies
-
Ensure assemblies meet dimensional tolerances using the relevant measuring tools or gauges
-
Report any quality issues immediately to the Team Leader
-
Clean machines and work areas before and after each shift
Safety Compliance
-
Wear appropriate PPE at all times, including goggles, gloves, and welding apron
-
Report accidents immediately to the Team Leader, First Aider, or HAS Representative
-
Shut down machines when not in use and report any safety concerns promptly
Educational & Training Requirements
-
Matric Certificate or N3 Certificate
-
Minimum 1 year of experience or training in MIG, TIG, and Laser welding
Prior Knowledge & Experience
-
Experience in a factory environment is an advantage

Basic mechanical fitting ability

Experience working with steel, aluminized steel, and stainless steel
Core Competencies

Ability to lift items up to 25kg consistently

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tolerances
-
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality output

Follow verbal and written instructions accurately

Maintain Route Cards and other relevant documentation
-
Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn

Proficiency in using verniers, tape measures, and gauges
