- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Trade Qualification in Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding
Requirements & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience operating printing machinery
- Strong understanding of machine operations, equipment control, and IoT systems
- Computer literacy: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or internal systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of ink viscosity and colour matching essential
The ideal candidate must be:
- Willing and able to work shifts and overtime when required
- Proactive, responsible, and reliable
- Capable of working independently
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up printing machines according to production requirements
- Ensure adherence to all quality, safety, and environmental standards within the organisation
- Comply with ISO procedures and contribute to a safe working environment
- Review and assess work orders to understand production needs
- Ensure the final product meets customer specifications and expectations
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the department
- Update and maintain relevant in-house systems daily
- Actively participate in improving machine availability by following preventive maintenance procedures
