Job Description
Support the growth and sustainability of the Client’s valve business by managing technical sales, preparing quotations and processing orders using internal systems. Develop and maintain customer relationships through regular visits, product training, technical assistance and timely updates. Interpret technical documentation, select valves for various application and conduct project meetings, presentations and site visits to expand market presence and deliver high service quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regain and maintain the valve market within the Client’s valve marketing strategy.
- Select appropriate valves for various applications across different industries.
- Optimise service quality, business growth and overall customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely quotations to clients.
- Record all sales activities on the CRM system and process enquiries and orders using SAP.
- Conduct regular customer visits to expand valve sales, support business development and ensure sustainability.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and product data sheets effectively.
- Manage all necessary aspects relating to valve sales and transactions.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships and ongoing support.
- Communicate with customers regarding product information and updates.
- Provide training and internal support on valve products.
- Offer technical assistance and respond to customer queries with relevant information.
- Track and expedite all orders and quotations through the Client’s system.
- Liaise with customers to provide progress updates on orders.
- Arrange and attend project meetings and kick-off sessions with customers and the Client’s staff.
- Do site visits and client meetings to identify opportunities for additional business.
- Deliver product presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist fellow employees with daily calibration functions as and when required.
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to time.
Education:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Advantageous)
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years’ proven experience in Sales Engineering within the valve industry or related industries.
- Strong technical understanding of industrial valves, actuation and associated systems.
Requirements:
- Proficient in MS Office 365 (Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as SAP and CRM.
