About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager/Technician or Engineer with expertise in refrigeration panel manufacturing to lead our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy manufacturing environments, plant optimisation, and troubleshooting, with a proven track record of improving plant efficiency and reducing production costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations and production schedules
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are achieved
- Monitor output performance and implement corrective measures where necessary
- Drive operational efficiency to increase throughput and reduce downtime
- Identify mechanical and process bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot recurring equipment failures and implement permanent solutions
- Improve machine performance, reliability, and uptime
- Oversee preventative maintenance schedules
- Work closely with maintenance teams on plant upgrades and improvements
- Ensure boilers and plant utilities operate safely and efficiently
- Implement energy-saving and cost-reduction initiatives
- Lead process improvement initiatives to speed up production
- Reduce waste and minimise operational costs
- Introduce lean manufacturing principles where applicable
- Develop measurable KPIs to track plant improvement
