About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our client’s team in Upington. Our client is a well-established Agricultural Holdings company that values professionalism and excellence in their work. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, conducting audits, and preparing financial reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all movement in the factory to read it into the system (IFS)
- Read Main Line and Small Line (Woolworths) runs on IFS.
- Maintaining financial records and reports.
- Monthly management statements and related reporting.
- Budget and cash flow projections.
- Maintaining asset registers.
- Accounting management of inventory.
- Cost variance analyses.
- Processing of management accounting functions.
- Handling, preparation and submission of reports to Statutory bodies (VAT returns, PAYE etc.).
- Support of financial audits.
- Drawing up financial statements.
- General financial administration.
Requirements
- B. Com Rec degree in financial accounting or management accounting.
- Equivalent qualification with completed clerkship.
- At least 5 years experience in, preferably a manufacturing and agricultural environment.
- Knowledge and experience of “Business Intelligence Tools” (BI) and SQL.
- Knowledge and experience in relation to the National credit legislation (NCR) and administration.
