About the Role
Join Safari JOBS as a Camp Coordinator and embark on an immersive adventure in the African wilderness. As the operational heartbeat of our remote training camp, you will ensure that hospitality standards, safety compliance, and daily logistics are executed with precision. With a solid background in Front of House, Housekeeping, or F&B, you will transition into a pivotal coordination and mentorship role, guiding and teaching junior staff, and working closely with Instructors, Students, Support Staff, and Reserve Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with concession and reserve rules and regulations
- Oversee camp infrastructure, vehicles, equipment, and general maintenance requirements
- Implement and maintain high-end hospitality and housekeeping standards in line with company expectations
- Manage guest arrivals, departures, and overall camp experience
- Collect and manage guest and student feedback to support continuous improvement
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping, kitchen, and general camp staff
- Allocate duties, manage schedules, and maintain performance standards
- Foster a positive, professional camp culture aligned with the company values
Requirements
- National Senior certificate (Grade 12)
- Valid drivers licence
- Recognised qualification (certificate, diploma, or degree) from an accredited hospitality institution
- Formal high-end housekeeping or lodge operations training, preferably from a 5* lodge background
- Approx. 3 – 5 years experience in a remote type environment e.g: safari lodge, hospitality, conservation or tour operating
