About the Role
We are seeking a technically strong leader to lead our 1st and 2nd line support function in Pretoria, South Africa. As a Technical Support Manager, you will play a hands-on role in system configuration, deployment, and client onboarding while balancing leadership, technical troubleshooting, and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and overseeing all 1st and 2nd line support queries
- Acting as the escalation point for complex technical issues
- Leading and mentoring a small technical support team
- Ensuring efficient resolution of client support requests
- Performing system configuration, implementation, and deployment
- Supporting new client onboarding and ongoing system use
- Assisting in the development of training materials
- Working closely with development teams to enhance system performance
- Travelling to client sites when required
Requirements
- Proven experience in 1st and 2nd line technical support
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with system configuration and deployment
- Ability to lead and mentor a small team
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Confident and professional in client-facing environments
- Willingness to travel to client sites
