About the Role
Network Finance is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg South. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial records, managing the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Process journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with other statutory submissions.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with financial analysis and reporting.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial tasks and projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting or similar finance role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with VAT submissions and financial reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
