About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Acquisition Manager (SCM) to join our team in Pretoria. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for leading the acquisition process and ensuring that our organization’s supply chain management needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the acquisition process from tender notice to contract award
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve organizational objectives
- Manage relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Ensure compliance with public sector supply chain management regulatory framework and related regulations
- Coordinate with Bid Committee members to ensure effective bidding processes
- Prepare and submit National Treasury (prescribed) reports as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Bachelor of Technology Degree or Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Law, Economics, or Accounting
- At least 5 years of experience in an SCM environment with at least 3 years at a supervisory level
- Knowledge of public sector supply chain management regulatory framework (Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, PFMA, PPPFA, related regulations and policy directives)
- Knowledge of Bid Committee system
- Knowledge of National Treasury (prescribed) reporting requirements
- Project Management and Negotiation skills
