About the Role

Our client is a leading South African design studio known for delivering fully customised interior environments through design, drafting, manufacturing, and installation. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our team in Pretoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing Coordination: manage the production process for all custom made items manufactured by our company or external suppliers.
  • Production Documentation: create clear production sheets and supplier orders outlining specifications, finishes, quantities, and technical details for each item.
  • Timeline Management: track all production lead times to ensure items are completed within the project schedule.
  • Order Placement: ensure all project-related orders are placed accurately and on time.
  • Supplier Coordination: work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to confirm specifications, production timelines, and delivery schedules.
  • Payment Coordination: ensure all orders are approved and paid for in time to maintain production schedules and avoid delays.
  • Production Tracking: maintain clear records of all orders and monitor the progress of each item through the production pipeline.
  • Procurement Support: source and procure additional items required during the production phase when necessary.
  • Site Engagement: attend site visits when required to align deliveries with site progress and contractors readiness.
  • Installation Readiness: ensure all delivered items meet project specifications and are ready for installation.
  • Communication: maintain clear communication with contractors and specialists to ensure smooth installation phases.
  • Lead Time Management: clearly communicate supplier lead times and ensure they align with project schedules.
  • Supplier Relationships: build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and timely delivery.
  • Quality Control: confirm that produced items meet the required specifications and standards before delivery.
  • Production Updates: provide regular updates to management and the design team on the status of production items.
  • Issue Resolution: escalate any delays or risks early so solutions can be implemented quickly.
  • Project Tracking: maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and production progress for each project.
