About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Sales & Marketing Coordinator to join our team in Cape Town City Centre. As a key member of our sales and marketing department, you will be responsible for establishing effective relationships with customers, handling enquiries and requests, and assisting the sales team with various tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish effective customer relationships and handle enquiries and requests either personally or over the phone.
- Assist the Sales Team by making reservations at the hotel for FITs / groups / conferences, preparing rate proposals, and following up on the business to ensure revenue.
- Handle non-residential conference queries and ensure enhanced business.
- Assist & maintain an efficient administration system within the department.
- Maintain and ensure regular update of the teams customer database as well as all incoming guest queries.
- Ensure an efficient and accurate system, both manual and electronic, for maintaining record of key data and documentation.
- Assist the Commercial Sales Manager/Director of Sales with generation of MIS and other departmental reports.
- Responsible for the inventory management of all sales aids.
- Involved with Health & Safety within the department, anticipating possible and probable hazards and conditions, and ensuring compliance with directives.
- Maintain highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language, and conduct.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree from a reputable hotel school
- 1 Year experience in a similar position
- Fluent in English
- Additional language advantageous (IT Knowledge: Microsoft Office & Opera)
