About the Role
Our client is at the forefront of industrial innovation and is dedicated to revolutionizing the landscape of battery solutions. As a Field Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing service of cutting-edge battery solutions for industrial clients across Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
- Install industrial battery solutions at client sites according to specifications and safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on industrial battery systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, implementing timely and effective repairs to resolve issues and minimize downtime for clients.
- Monitor the performance of industrial battery systems, analyzing data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Provide comprehensive technical support to clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Offer training and guidance to clients on the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial battery solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and client interactions.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures when working with industrial battery systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in industrial battery technology through ongoing training and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share knowledge and insights, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
- Communicate proactively and coordinate resources as needed to address client needs and project requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 12 non-negotiable.
- Tertiary Education in related field (recommended).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial battery systems maintenance and repair (Industrial Lithium Batteries).
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues in industrial battery systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel in western cape area as you will be predominantly on the road.
- Must be open to working afterhours and/or weekends to service client needs and/or attend to emergency concerns.
