About the Role
Liham Consulting Pty (Ltd) is seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team in Johannesburg, Gauteng. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expanding our presence in the mining and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Submitting weekly records of client meetings
- Servicing mining and construction sectors – focusing on Diesel Engines/Motor Engineering and Truck Re-build
- Obtaining information on competitors products and services, pricing policies and business strategies, reporting findings to the relevant Support team
- Supporting company products, divisions and distributors to improve sales of company products in the area
- Reporting leads, tenders and quoting opportunities to the Branch Manager & Group Operations Manager
- Maintaining and updating customer data base, in conjunction with the Proposals area
- Representing the company as a local supplier of Diesel/Motor Engineering and Field services in and around Gauteng
- Actively promoting the sale of company services to new and existing customers
- Ensuring that the company is registered as a local supplier on all vendor lists of the mining and industrial clients in local area (Gauteng)
- Establishing and developing close business relationships with potential clients, afterhours when necessary
Requirements
- Matric with English & Afrikaans
- Must be target driven
- At least 3 – 5 years Technical Sales in Mining & Construction
- A recognized technical qualification (Diesel/Petrol + Field Service) will be an advantage
- Technical mining sales background and be at ease with earthmoving equipment or Mining Machinery
- Valid driver’s license
