About the Role

We are seeking two experienced Shift Junior Millwrights to join our team at PAR EXCELLANCE in Boksburg. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food factory equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and assemble machinery and mechanical systems/equipment as per blueprints/technical manuals/manufacturer specs.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines/conveyors/pumps/motors/other mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical systems/electrical components/hydraulics.
• Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns/minimise production downtime/utilise diagnostic tools to identify issues, incl. vibration analysis/infrared thermography.
• Assist with installation of new systems/upgrades to existing equipment/modifications to improve the overall efficiency of operations.
• Work closely with production teams/engineers/other maintenance personnel to resolve equipment issues/improve machine performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance/repairs/installations, incl. parts used/labour hours/any issues found.
• Ensure tools/equipment/parts required for maintenance are available/well-maintained and follow all safety SOPs, incl. lockout/tagout practices/while working with hazardous machinery/equipment.

Requirements

• Tech Grade 12
• N3+ in Electromechanical Engineering
• Trade Tested Millwright
• PLC/VSD experience
• 1-2 years of food factory experience on processing/packing/labelling machinery/PLC/VSD
