About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Truck Driver to join our team at Changlong Trading Tyres in Germiston. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of high-quality tyres and related products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive and operate the delivery truck to transport goods to various destinations.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers and suppliers.
- Load and unload goods from the delivery truck as required.
- Verify that all deliveries are made according to the orders and company procedures.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure safe driving at all times.
- Assist with any other tasks as needed within the warehouse or store.
Requirements
Valid drivers license with a clean driving record, Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role, Ability to lift heavy goods and load/unload items safely, Excellent communication and customer service skills, Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, Ability to work independently and as part of a team, Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
