Dundee: Security Manager

About the Role

The Security Manager position is a critical role that requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the security operations of our client in Dundee. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality security services, managing staff and operations, and identifying and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining good relations internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees
• Ensuring the rendering of security service deliver in line with SOPs
• Ensuring compliance and that all security officers meet contractual requirements as stipulated by the organization
• Identification and mitigation of risks
• Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services
• General management and supervision of security staff and operations, including rosters and posting of staff
• Ensuring that all HR related queries are dealt with promptly
• Investigating incidents and investigations
• Attend meetings internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees
• Compile weekly, monthly and annual site incident reports
• Control budget for security operations and monitor expenses
• Stores, stock and asset audits to verify stock and minimise theft
• Security service providers invoicing verification
• Rental machine hours verification
• Security infrastructure review and maintenance
• Fulfil security operational expectations

Requirements

• National diploma in security management (an advantage)
• Grade 12
• 5 years experience in a similar position in mining
• SAPS/Military experience (an advantage)
• Familiarity with all legislation relating to the position
• Investigating experience
• Firearm Police competency
• Handgun/Shotgun Firearm training
• Handgun & Shotgun Business Purpose Familiarity

Qualifications

• PSIRA B grade or higher
• Up to date PSIRA affiliating Experience
• Experience using relevant technology and equipment (CCTV)
