About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bookkeeper to join our growing organisation in Sea Point. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting smooth QSR business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial transaction records
Establish accounts and post transactions correctly
Ensure compliance with legal and internal financial policies
Reconcile and balance accounts
Process general journals
Produce financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
Verify invoices, receipts, and other source documents
Prepare financial reports and analyse account trends
Track and maintain inventory records
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare payments
Complete VAT calculations, submissions, and payments
Assist with budgets and audits
Maintain a complete and organised financial filing system
Conduct monthly branch audits (stock and assets)

Requirements

Accounting Degree or similar qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
QSR or retail experience highly beneficial
Xero Accounting Software experience (advantageous)
Proactive, trustworthy, and hardworking individual
Strong prioritisation skills and ability to meet deadlines
High attention to detail
Effective planning and organisational abilities
