About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior International Tax Advisor to join our dynamic international tax team in Johannesburg. This role offers exposure to complex international structures, African revenue authorities, and transfer pricing projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal red tape. As a key member of our team, you will advise clients directly and help shape strategies that matter, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic advice on international corporate tax matters, including double taxation agreements, withholding tax, and Pillar 2.
  • Draft and review tax opinions, memoranda, and correspondence for clients.
  • Lead dispute resolution processes, including objections and appeals, with revenue authorities.
  • Structure and implement FTOs and cross-border tax solutions for clients.
  • Collaborate internally to support modelling, analysis, and team knowledge-sharing.

Requirements

  • Qualified Lawyer or CA(SA) – legal background preferred.
  • 7 to 10 years post-articles experience, with significant exposure to international corporate tax, transfer pricing, African tax authorities, and client advisory roles.
  • Strong tax writing, structuring, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

  • Formal education in Law (LLB) or Chartered Accountancy (CA(SA)) qualification.
