About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager to join our rapidly growing multi-site QSR franchise group. As the owner of the full finance function, you will drive operational excellence, financial stability, and long-term strategic growth across regions. You will have direct influence on operational performance and profitability, as well as opportunities for exposure across multiple regions and diverse operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the full finance function including budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Managing statutory submissions (VAT, PAYE, UIF, EMP501, SARS)
- Compiling, updating, and loading budgets into Xero
- Producing and submitting accurate monthly brand-required management accounts
- Driving financial compliance aligned to legislation, audit requirements, and brand standards
- Developing and managing SLAs with service providers
- Internalising payroll, PaySpace, HR consulting, and Health & Safety training
- Conducting monthly stock, asset, petty cash, and cash handling audits across stores
- Tracking and driving KPIs such as Food & Paper Gap, Group Labour, H O Costs, and Profit after Depreciation
- Presenting cost-saving strategies and implementing efficiencies
- Leading and mentoring the finance team while working cross-functionally with HR, Operations, IT, and Training
- Preparing annual budgets and audit working papers
- Completing weekly and monthly store visits across regions
- Participating in operational reviews and KPI meetings
Requirements
- CA(SA), CIMA, or Finance Degree (advantageous)
- 5-7 years’ experience in senior finance management
- Background in QSR, retail, or multi-site environments
- Strong systems knowledge (Xero, PaySpace, MS Office)
- Deep understanding of statutory reporting and compliance
- Proven leadership and ability to drive delivery through teams
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to influence operational outcomes
