Job Description
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and technical faults on vehicles
- Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance, and repair work
- Perform detailed vehicle inspections and communicate findings clearly (both verbally and in writing)
- Recommend and implement appropriate solutions to technical issues
- Remove, install, and replace vehicle parts and components
- Accurately complete and update job cards and related documentation
- Conduct final checks and testing to ensure vehicles are ready for handover
- Uphold high-quality workmanship with strong attention to detail
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 with an N3 qualification
- Qualified Artisan / Trade Tested Mechanic
- Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience in a similar role
- Valid driver’s licence
- Proven diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Experience working with diagnostic systems
- Competent in servicing, repairs, and standard vehicle installations
- Solid technical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, organised, and professional work approach
- Able to work independently as well as within a team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
