JOB PURPOSE: The Assistant Stock Controller will be responsible for the following: Assist the Stock Controller in his responsibilities of managing of stock-holding in order to provide an excellent support service to the business and to receive and distribute goods procured. Be responsible for Store-keeping requirements and assist the team of Storemen with their duties. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Duties include but will not be limited to: Management of stock levels: Take responsibility for stock under control. Reduce stock to minimum level that still support operations without running out of stock. Assist Store Manager with the management and maintenance of optimum stock levels. Service Level: Provide a support service to all departments. Investigate and action queries promptly. Liaise with suppliers in terms of the logistics of deliveries. Compliance: Conduct work in line with policies and procedures. Assist with stock counts. Responsible for transfer and receipt transactions of fuel and other stock items as required. Audit of transfer orders, shipment of orders and GRVs. House Keeping: Compliance with housekeeping standards and procedures Safety, Environment and Food Safety. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Matric Storekeeping/Warehousing qualification At least 5 years experience in storekeeping/warehousing and stock management/ordering Exposure to Microsoft Navision(NAV) would be advantageous. Strong customer service orientation Strong administrative skills Solution driven. Attention to detail. Good planning skills Verbal and written communication skills Afrikaans, English Computer literacy MS Office(with a high proficiency in MS Excel) Leadership and management abilities Accuracy Ability to perform under pressure Assertive Proactive
