Job Title: Vehicle Buyer / Car Buyer Location: Fourways, Gauteng Industry: Automotive Dealership Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: Market Related Incentives Job Overview Our client, a reputable automotive dealership , is looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Buyer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing quality vehicles for the dealership, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining high stock standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build relationships with private sellers, dealers, and industry partners . Key Responsibilities Source and purchase quality vehicles for dealership stock Evaluate vehicles and determine accurate trade and purchase values Negotiate pricing with private sellers, dealerships, and suppliers Monitor market trends and vehicle pricing to ensure competitive purchases Manage vehicle stock acquisition and ensure sufficient inventory levels Conduct vehicle inspections and assessments before purchase Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and sellers Ensure all vehicle documentation and compliance requirements are met Work closely with the sales team to ensure stock meets customer demand Minimum Requirements Previous experience as a Vehicle Buyer / Used Car Buyer in the automotive industry Strong knowledge of vehicle values, market trends, and pricing Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to work independently and meet buying targets Valid drivers license Strong administrative and organisational skills Preferred Skills Experience working within a dealership environment Knowledge of vehicle appraisal systems and trade tools Strong network within the automotive industry
