About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Receptionist / Relief Night Auditor for a prestigious luxury hotel located in Constantia, Western Cape. This is a fantastic opportunity for a well-presented, service-driven hospitality professional to join a five-star team in an exceptional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to email requests professionally and efficiently
- Manage guest enquiries and deliver detailed, informed responses
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of hotel room categories and property layout
- Understand and communicate the property’s various offerings
- Effectively resolve guest complaints and issues
- Take full responsibility for the night shift, ensuring smooth operations
- Manage guest accounts and perform daily pit checks
- Balance daily revenue reports accurately
- Distribute reports to relevant department heads daily
- Operate Opera Cloud (Property Management System)
- Check guests in and out, and assist with rooming as needed
- Operate the switchboard and handle incoming calls
- Assist with restaurant bookings and hotel reservations
- Liaise efficiently between all departments
- Consistently go the extra mile to ensure guest satisfaction
- Provide support to colleagues and assist other departments where needed
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with team members
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Post-matric hotel school qualification advantageous
- 1–2 years’ experience in a five-star property with night auditing exposure
- Proficient in computer systems
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
- High level of English proficiency
