About the Role

Hire Resolve, a leading beverage manufacturing company in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Engineering Controller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety and quality management routines, as well as providing leadership and management expertise to drive productivity and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance and adherence to Safety, Health, Environment, Risk & Quality (SHERQ) Management routines
  • Ensure effective Governance and adherence to Internal Control Checks (ICCs)
  • Perform Maintenance ICC
  • Ensure adherence to OHSACT and all Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, Quality procedures and statutory requirements
  • Perform hazard and operational assessments
  • Ensure safe use of plant and machinery
  • Ensure effective Asset Care
  • Financial Management
  • Improve Productivity & Delivery
  • Leadership & Management

Requirements

  • Must have relevant qualifications (N5 with Trade Test, N6/S4 or equivalent will be beneficial)
  • Qualified Millwright highly advantageous
  • Certified Automation & Control Technician – highly advantageous
  • Maintenance Planning experience – added advantage
  • Ammonia – CAT B registered – added advantage
  • 3+ years in Engineering/Production leadership role managing direct reports
  • Must have working experience in a packaging environment; wine bottling experience an added advantage
  • Experience in Managing and leading a team is essential
  • Experience in Managing a mini business area is essential
  • High competence to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to work independently, and to work under pressure
  • Be self-motivated and action driven
  • Be a team player and innovator
  • Sound leadership and conflict handling experience
  • Strong numerical aptitude and analytical abilities are essential
  • Computer literate including SAP experience
  • Must have own reliable transport
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
