About the Role
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site operations within a manufacturing environment, ensuring production targets and operational deadlines are met while maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership and people management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all on-site operations within the manufacturing environment
- Supervise, coordinate, and monitor daily activities of site staff
- Ensure production targets and operational deadlines are met
- Monitor employee attendance, timekeeping, and productivity
- Capture, verify, and process payroll information accurately (timesheets, overtime, leave records, etc.)
- Liaise with HR and Finance departments regarding payroll submissions and queries
- Enforce discipline in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure effective communication with staff
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Identify operational challenges and implement corrective actions
- Manage staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct performance feedback sessions
- Handle employee grievances and escalate matters where necessary
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
- Properly use and control company equipment and resources
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Relevant qualification in Production, Operations Management, or Supervisory Management (Advantageous)
Qualifications
- Minimum 35 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proven experience in supervising staff on-site
- Experience handling payroll processes and timesheet management
