About the Role
The Active Raw Material Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of our products by overseeing the evaluation and approval of new plasma suppliers, reviewing epidemiological data, and testing human plasma and its derivatives. This position requires strong scientific knowledge, leadership skills, and experience in quality control or microbiology.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the quality, safety, and efficacy of company products through rigorous evaluation and approval of new plasma suppliers
- Review epidemiological data and update the company’s plasma master file on an annual basis
- Test and release human plasma and its derivatives procured from plasma suppliers, adhering to sound scientific principles and current good manufacturing practice (cGMP)
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the Quality Active Raw Material (QARM) laboratory, providing operational assurance in support of business and strategic requirements
- Manage the company’s formal environmental monitoring program, including monitoring production environments
Requirements
- MSc in Microbiological Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- PhD degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality control or microbiology laboratory
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience as a senior staff manager in a quality or pharmaceutical environment
- Working knowledge of GMP in blood establishments, transfusion transmittable infections, plasma quality and safety, and related regulatory requirements
