About the Role
GMI Advisory is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our organization’s information and communication technology (ICT) portfolio, ensuring alignment with our objectives and long-term sustainability. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, oversee ICT operations, and drive innovation to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization’s information and communication technology (ICT) portfolio.
- Accountable for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the ICT strategy, ensuring full alignment with the organization’s objectives and long-term sustainability.
- Provide oversight of ICT operations, infrastructure, systems development, and cybersecurity, ensuring that the organization’s digital environment is secure, reliable, and efficient.
- Responsible for ICT policy formulation, disaster recovery planning, risk management, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act.
- Management of stakeholder relationships.
- Oversee the technological infrastructure (network and computer systems) in the organization to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the company can gain a competitive advantage.
- Ensure that ICT initiatives directly support and enable organisational priorities.
- Analyse the costs, value of information technology to advise the exco, board committees, management, and suggest actions.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Information Communication Technology (NQF level 7)
- A Master’s degree in Information Communication Technology will be an added advantage (NQF level 9).
- 8– 10 years ICT experience with at least 5-7 years’ experience at middle management level.
