About the Role
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Head Sommelier to lead its wine and beverage offering at a Luxury Lodge in the Sabi Sands. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of fine dining, and luxury lodge service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and develop the lodge’s wine programme and beverage strategy
- Manage wine procurement, stock control, and cellar organisation
- Lead, train, and mentor the sommelier and F&B service team
- Advise guests on premium wine selections and food pairings
- Maintain exceptional service standards in line with luxury hospitality expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Head Sommelier or Senior Sommelier within a luxury hospitality environment
- Excellent food and beverage knowledge, with a strong focus on wine
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
