About the Role
The Playhouse Company, situated in Durban, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join their team on a fixed-term contract for one year. As the key member of the maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, while adhering to high standards of quality and health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Maintenance Department (a team of Artisans) and the work done by external contractors
- Managing the Operational Plan of the department
- Ensuring that all organizational infrastructure, plant machinery, and equipment are maintained in line with both quality and Health and Safety Standards
- Managing and reporting on the Operational and CAPEX budget
- Management and Financial Reporting
- Health and Safety Compliance of facilities and equipment (as per Section 16.2 Appointee)
- Overseeing projects from implementation to completion of the Operational / Maintenance Plan
- Ensuring that the roles and responsibilities as per the General Machinery Regulations are adhered to
Requirements
- Engineering diploma in either the mechanical or electrotechnical (heavy current) fields with an academic qualification of at least T3 or N5, or of an equivalent level
- No less than two years’ practical experience subsequent to achieving such qualification
- A minimum of five (5) years of Managerial experience
