About the Role
Top Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Machine Lubricator to join our manufacturing group in Mobeni, KZN. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of factory machinery by performing lubrication, inspection, and basic maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply lubricants (oil, grease, etc.) to machinery and equipment according to maintenance schedules and manufacturer specifications.
- Monitor lubricant levels, quality, and contamination; replace or filter lubricants as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of bearings, gears, motors, and other moving parts for signs of wear or damage.
- Maintain accurate lubrication records including schedules, materials used, and maintenance actions taken.
- Assist diagnosing mechanical issues related to poor lubrication or contamination.
- Follow safety protocols and use proper PPE when handling lubricants and working around machinery.
- Keep lubrication tools, equipment, and storage areas clean and organised.
Requirements
- Grade 12
- N2 – N3 Mechanical qualification
- 3 years experience in a similar role (preferably in manufacturing)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of lubrication principles
- Ability to read and follow maintenance schedules and technical instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to preventative maintenance
- Physical ability to work in environments requiring standing, lifting, and bending
- Safety-conscious mindset
