About the Role
The National Retailer is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Store Administrator to join their team in Cape Town City Centre. The ideal candidate will support the store manager by overseeing daily operations, leading staff, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Hiring, training, and motivating employees
- Managing inventory, including tracking stock levels and restocking shelves
- Ensuring high customer service standards, resolving customer complaints, and handling returns/exchanges
- Creating staff schedules and maintaining visual merchandising standards
- Opening/closing the store, managing daily transactions, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Resolving customer issues and providing exceptional service
- Writing reports, managing staff records, and assisting with marketing activities
Requirements
- Relevant retail experience (preferably in a management role)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and visual merchandising principles
- Excellent customer service skills and conflict resolution abilities
