About the Role
The Johannesburg-based Warehouse Manager will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring seamless receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch processes. This role requires a strong focus on inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and stock takes to maintain optimal stock levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily warehouse operations: receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Control inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock takes
- Always apply FIFO / FEFO principles
- Monitor, investigate, and resolve stock variances and discrepancies
- Capture and manage all stock movements accurately on ERP systems
- Generate basic stock, ageing, and operational reports
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff
- Allocate daily tasks and manage workload planning
- Enforce SOPs, discipline, and labour compliance
- Ensure compliance with OHS Act requirements and safety standards
- Maintain housekeeping, safe storage, and material handling practices
- Support audits, improve warehouse layout and workflow
- Minimise damage, waste, and operational delays
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Essential 35 years of experience in warehouse control or supervision
- Manufacturing or packaging industry experience
- Strong ERP system experience (SAP, Sage, Syspro, Oracle, or similar)
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills
- Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
